WE NEED A NEW HOME
Can You Help?
Due to the increasing demand of providing food for over 200 families (and growing) in Wellfleet, we have outgrown our former space and are currently operating out of a temporary trailer in the parking lot of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 2282A State Hwy, Rt. 6.
After months of searching, we are in discussions with the Town of Wellfleet to lease town-owned land to build our permanent home.
The Wellfleet Food Pantry needs to raise $1.5 million over the next 2 years to build our new home. Please join us in contributing to the Wellfleet Food Pantry’s Building Fund.
ABOUT US
The Wellfleet Food Pantry is a non-profit organization that has been serving our community since 1999. The Pantry provides food to more than 200 families (over 380 individuals), helping them through lean times and freeing a little money for other necessities.
The Pantry functions as a mini grocery store for those residents who need assistance in difficult times. We provide cost-free essential food items that include groceries, fresh produce, dairy, frozen meat, fish, and personal and household items.
Our shoppers, our neighbors: seasonal and low-income workers, members of our fishing community, single heads of households, the unemployed, veterans, elderly, children and the disabled, are people who we all interact with every day. They use the Pantry to help ease financial burdens. The Pantry relies on community support to ensure that those families can put food on their tables.
SUPPORT NETWORK
We depend on the Lower Cape Outreach Council support network to provide important social services.
The Lower Cape Outreach Council manages 9 emergency food pantries across the Lower and Outer Cape, including the Wellfleet Food Pantry.

DONATIONS
Your tax-deductible donations are greatly appreciated. We are funded almost entirely by private contributions. We use your gifts to purchase food from the Greater Boston Food Bank and local sources. In addition, we depend on the Lower Cape Outreach Council support network to provide important social services. Past contributions have made it possible for our neighbors with limited financial resources to have a bit more for housing, heat, clothing and health care.
The Wellfleet Food Pantry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your generosity can make a real difference to neighbors who struggle to feed their families.
Tax-deductible donations may be made by check to:
